What is the National Digital Library of India?
The National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, developed and maintained by IIT Kharagpur.
Its aim is to make educational resources easily discoverable and accessible to learners, teachers and researchers.
Instead of searching through many different websites separately, students can use NDLI to discover a wide variety of learning resources through a single platform.
Think of it as a digital gateway to knowledge.
In simple words:
NDLI helps you find educational resources from many sources in one place.

🆚 NDLI vs Google: What's the Difference?
Many students may ask:
"Why should I use NDLI when I already have Google?"
That's a very good question!
Google is an extremely powerful general web search engine. It searches across the web and can provide millions of results.
NDLI has a different purpose.
It is designed specifically as a digital learning-resource discovery platform.
