The Reading Promotion Week – 3 at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Sundargarh continued with a burst of creativity through the Drawing Competition held on 19th January 2026. Students from Classes 3–8 participated with great enthusiasm, expressing their imagination and love for stories through colours and art.

The competition was organised under the guidance of Mr. Sunil Prasad, Librarian, along with Ms. Anjali (PRT), who motivated students to showcase their artistic flair. The event was conducted separately for Junior (Classes 3–5) and Senior (Classes 6–8) categories.

🌟 Event Highlights:
  • Theme: “Favourite Stories and Characters from Books”

  • Students illustrated scenes, heroes, and characters inspired by their reading.

  • Judging was based on originality, creativity, neatness, and relevance to the theme.

  • Drawings were displayed in the library, turning it into a mini art gallery.

🎉 Memorable Moment:
One senior student sketched an elaborate scene from a classic children’s tale, and the detailing left both judges and peers amazed.

🏆 Outcome:
The judges admired the creativity and storytelling through art. The top three winners from each category were awarded, while all participants were appreciated for their imagination.

✨ Conclusion:
The Drawing Competition gave students a chance to blend their love for books with creativity. It was a colourful addition to the Reading Promotion Week – 3, inspiring young minds to see stories not just in words but also through the language of art.
