Informative Session on World Book & Copyright Day

On 23rd April, the library hosted an enlightening session for students of Classes 3 to 8 to mark World Book and Copyright Day. The session highlighted the importance of books in our lives, the role of authors, and the need to respect and protect creative works through copyright. Students learned about UNESCO’s initiative in promoting reading and preserving cultural heritage through books. This session inspired everyone to value both reading and originality in creative works.

Display of New Arrival Books

The library proudly showcased its latest collection of books during Children’s Book Week. Students were excited to explore newly acquired titles in both English and Hindi, covering fiction, non-fiction, science, biographies, and picture books. The vibrant display attracted curious readers and encouraged them to borrow and enjoy these fresh additions to the library shelves.

Storytelling Competition

The Storytelling Competition was one of the most awaited events of the week. Participants from Classes 3 to 5 brought stories to life with their expressive narration, clear voice, and creativity. Some students narrated folk tales, while others presented original stories. The competition not only boosted their confidence but also enhanced their communication and imaginative skills.

Drawing Competition

To combine art with literature, a Drawing Competition was organised on the theme My Favourite Storybook Character. Students from Classes 3 to 8 participated with enthusiasm, creating colourful illustrations of beloved characters. The library corridors were soon decorated with their beautiful artworks, turning the space into a gallery of imagination.

 Bookmark Making Competition

The week concluded with a fun and creative Bookmark Making Competition. Students crafted bookmarks using colourful paper, quotes about reading, and artistic designs. These bookmarks will now serve as personal reading companions, reminding our young readers of the joy of books and the creativity they can bring into their lives.
